Medicaid Coverage at Triangle Kids Care Pediatrics

We're proud to accept Medicaid and welcome families who rely on it for their child's healthcare. Every child deserves access to attentive, comprehensive pediatric care - from newborn checkups through adolescence - regardless of which plan they carry. If you have Medicaid as your primary coverage, or as a secondary plan alongside another carrier, let our front desk know when you schedule so we can make sure your visit is billed correctly from the start.

A Few Things to Know About Billing

To help your visit go smoothly and avoid any surprises, keep these policies in mind:

Bring your insurance card to every visit.

If insurance information isn't presented at service, the visit will be self-pay. This applies even if we have a card on file. If you're a new patient, having your card ready at check-in helps us confirm coverage before your child is seen, preventing surprises at checkout.

Tell us if you have more than one plan.

If your child has both a primary and secondary insurance, for example, a primary carrier with Medicaid as secondary, please clearly identify which is which. This helps us avoid claim denials on your behalf.

Keep your information current.

It's your responsibility to let us know promptly if your insurance changes. If we don't have accurate, up-to-date information on file, you may be responsible for paying for the visit out of pocket and submitting the claim yourself for reimbursement.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does Triangle Kids Care Pediatrics accept Medicaid?

    Yes. We accept Medicaid.

  • What if my insurance carrier isn't on your accepted list?

We're continually adding new carriers. If your plan isn't listed, call our office, we may still be able to see your child, or we can help you understand your options.

  • What happens if I don't bring my insurance card to the appointment?

If insurance information isn't provided at the time of the visit, you'll be considered self-pay for that appointment. We recommend bringing your current insurance card to every visit to avoid this.

  • My child has two insurance plans. What should I tell your office?

Let us know which plan is primary and which is secondary, for example, if a private plan is primary and Medicaid is secondary. Clearly identifying this at check-in helps prevent claim denials.

  • What if my insurance changes during the year?

Please notify our office as soon as possible. If outdated insurance information is on file, you may be responsible for paying for the visit and filing for reimbursement yourself.

  • Can I confirm my coverage before scheduling an appointment?

Absolutely. Call our office at (919) 655-7873 and our team can help verify your coverage before your child's visit.
